A little history on Mega-City.com. I registered the domain back in October 1995 for a BBS/Gaming site I ran,  Mega-City BBS was originally launched in 1990 or so. It was a pretty popular local BBS, and in 1995 the internet was really starting to grow. I ran the BBS on my Amiga 3000 computer system running the awesome CNet BBS, linked to a Slackware Linux computer, and another computer which ran the APCI Server, this server allowed people to play Doom, Doom II, Heretic and Hexen online, with 4 players, which was normally not possible unless the PC’s were connected via a LAN.  We had tons of fun for about a year, which was about the time Quake and TeamFortress became popular, as well as the BBS scene was dying with IRC, and internet forums starting to grow.

Mega-City.com is currently being hosted by GoDaddy.com which has been a wonderful hosting service since I switched to them to save money from the ripoff company Network Solutions.  Previously Mega-City.com had been hosted on various linux configurations, Slackware, Redhat, Gentoo, Fedora, and finally Ubuntu before taking it down and moving everything over to GoDaddy.com to save money not having to pay for Static IP’s.
